Dear Stan Lee,
When my friend yesterday told me about your death, my first instinct was to ask her why she’d make such a terrible, terrible joke. Because in my mind, you were immortal. I am absolutely devastated, and somehow still in a stage of denial.
The loss of your mind, his soul, his heart is so huge, I cannot even put it into words.
Rest in peace, Stanley Martin Lieber.
But we did not lose all of you. You live on in the characters, in the stories you’ve created. You will always be remembered, always and forever will you be the father of the Marvel Universe. You’ve given so many children, adults and teenagers positivity and strength with these incomparable heroes you created.
That makes you somewhat immortal.
I wonder if you already talked to Michael Jackson up there, and somehow me imagining you two sitting up there, watching and talking about the development of Marvel, of that big big dream, makes it a little better.
But still - it is such a huge loss, you can never be replaced.
Thank you, for everything.
In love,
Me
