Well, it sounds like you live in Sri Lanka or on the Southern tip of India. Thanks you for becoming my fan. I look forward to chatting with you if you are available on the Meebo chat line on the bottom right of my screen. I have voted for you second poem as well. My earliest ancestor to North America came to Jamestown in 1610. I live in Maryland (USA) and English is my first language although I have spoken Esperanto and some German while living in deutschland.

@TerryP Oh ...so you are a teacher!! Yes, in India u can find many remnants of British system...education wise and also architecture and culture wise.
And yes we call Z-zed :))
I speak Hindi as its our national language...but kannada is my mother tongue. I also speak south indian languages like tamil and malayalam :))
What about you..what is your mother tongue?

TerryP

India has its own strong tradition of English literature. Teaching in Africa years ago, I had students, whose educational backgrounds also bore vestiges of an earlier British educational system. You call the last letter of the alphabet by the name Zed. Chances are that you also speak Hindi and another language...Thanks for your response.

I read, voted, and say that this is a good start. I suspect you are from Britain although I have nothing to go but a couple of words you are using are not either not American spellings or conjugations. It reminds me of the Bronte sisters. Take care. Keep at it.
