Confessions of a middle child:
If I hear “why aren’t you more like your sister?” one more time I swear I’m gonna lose it. Let me tell you why I’m not like her, she’s a college student with a part time job and I’m a high school student with adhd trying to get my own thoughts in one place. The worst thing is having to hear “when your sister was your age she use to cook, help your dad build, clean the restaurant, and was still the leader of the youth group in church. You have to get your stuff together.” And I try, trust me I really do, but I keep forgetting simple tasks and it’s stressing me out. And to add up I have a load of exams to finish in the next month but I can’t seem to get started. And telling me that I’m not like my sister, that I should set the example for my younger siblings, and that I should stop crying doesn’t help. Thanks for the ‘encouragement’ tho ;)
