How do yall keep yourself motivated like I have so many books I wanna write but too lazy

Motivation? Never met her. She’s flaky, unreliable, probably drunk. What you actually want is discipline + dopamine. ✨ A few tricks:
• FLOW, baby. Your brain loves that sweet spot between “too easy = boring” and “too hard = panic attack.” Set tiny challenges (one scene, one para) so you stay in the zone.
• Chunk it down. Big goals make your amygdala scream. Small, achievable steps calm it down and trick you into progress.
• Reward yourself. Dopamine is a hoe — pair writing with coffee, music, or a snack so your brain links “typing nonsense” with “pleasure.”
• Rituals > vibes. Same time, same place, same playlist. Your brain is a dog — give it cues and it will start salivating at the keyboard.
• Self-compassion. Beating yourself up kills creativity faster than Wattpad deleting your drafts. Talk to yourself like you’re your own chaotic bestie.
So yeah, stop waiting for the muse in Dior and just lure your brain with crumbs.
