I've recently been made aware of something I think has to be said- the average age of those who read fanfiction are between 11-16 years old. For sure there are those out of this age group, but I hope that more people could be made aware of this. Romanticizing sexual topics, toxic and unhealthy relationships, curse words, and content not made for readers in this age group (and lower) will ultimately affect them, their way of thinking, (possibly) their attitude towards others, their mental health, etc. Many of these fanfictions (and other books) written with such content are targeted towards a higher age group and I do respect those that have none-to-very-limited inappropriate content and include trigger warnings. But not putting warnings, shamelessly going into detail on mature scenes, carelessly typing curse words and such should not be tolerated in a community that can be accessed by those of all ages. Please be more cautious about the content you read and/or put out.
