“For example, Korean entertainment. Many girls are embracing Korean men as their ideal type of man.
What many conservatives don't understand is that Korean men are actually very alpha, assertive, and protective, but aesthetically & in their demeanor more soft, gentle, and approachable. Girls today increasingly growing fond of Korean men is a knee-jerk reaction to the brutal, abusive, bitter, hot-tempered typical man glorified by many hardcore so-called "conservatives" that many girls do not like that has resulted in the term "toxic masculinity." It
provides them an outlet from this kind of man. Nearly all women want a protective man who provides for her, but they don't want one who will only see her as some commodity and abuse her, physically or
verbally. The ideal of the Korean man in Korean entertainment fits this.
This is not just an American fad. Korean
entertainment is booming in places like Latin
America and the Middle East, where, not surprisingly, there exists the most abusive, corrosive men who are quite frankly complete (excuse my French) jackasses to women.
A truly masculine man is strong, protective,
assertive, & courageous, but he is also slow to anger, disciplined, & loving. This manifests itself differently in different cultures & times. A Korean man taking time to care for his skin & hair doesn't make him any less masculine.”
