What grabs people’s attention when reading books?
Personally I love complete books (I know it can take a long time to update the book and sometimes the book doesn't go in the direction that I wanted to go so I try not to read a book until it's finished because if something bad happens, I'm gonna be very upset) Healthy stories and not a bunch of unnecessary drama because I understand in real life couples have problems, but it seems like in every Urban story they're always drug dealers, killers, or criminals, they can never be happy and successful.
Sometimes I just want to see a happy black family. I like when there's kids in books and just to see a family aspect of a book because it's nice to see and read instead of traumatic events because books are my escape so I don't wanna read about a best friend dying, or the male character getting shot and put in the hospital or the female character be in danger, cause the male character doing some dumb reckless stuff with his life.
