Writing has always been a breath of fresh air for me. Bringing uniquely crafted characters to life and throwing them into wild situations (be it terrifying, exciting, or somewhere in between) is so fulfilling. Spending hours daydreaming and strategically planning out minor details in the scheme of a fictional reality is an escape from some of the bores and complications of this nonfictional one. :)
