For some positives, I really like your story. He is not "spanking" her, it doesn't turn her on. They like and respect each other, wow what a concept. He is not a mafia boss, CEO, billionaire, abusive etc. Keep up the good work.

Thank you so much. TBH the reason I haven't mentioned his job is because I don't know what to put because I don't want one of those repeated generic jobs in theses types of story

I am sure your readers have many ideas. Where I am in my life right now is that I want things to be happy and nice. There are thousands of books where people are mean to each other. What I would suggest that since you already have a lovely story is that they and their relationships grows. Does Esme want to learn something so she can help her daddy around the house. For example learning to cook, do some laundry, I could see where those things could make for a lot of mistakes and adventures. Of course you have to have a conflict. Maybe he doesn't want his little girl to grow up. I am just throwing stuff out. Please, please not the puppy running away or the daddy leaving her. How about he takes her on a vacation? All the problems people have traveling, missing the flight, people who don't understand their lifestyle, lost luggage. He meets a woman who is willing to learn about their life and join in to some degree. She would be complete vanilla. Does daddy want a relationship (of any kind) with an adult woman?
I don't remember how old she is. Could she learn to read and it would open up a whole new world for her and daddy. He would be so proud of her ......I hope some/any of this helps
