my thoughts on dave situation;
          
          this is incredibly shocking and insane news. i can’t even begin to imagine how dave’s family has been feeling. before i go into my thoughts on where i stand, i want to clarify my absolute sympathy for his family. being in the place of one of them right now is something i could never imagine.
          
          that being said; i personally feel that as dave is seeking for forgiveness from his daughters and wife, he is also seeking understanding from people that have looked up to him throughout his career. i can clearly understand if you choose not to support him after his actions but i feel that if his family can forgive and sympathize with him in his situation, then there is no reason he shouldn’t be forgiven. of course, this permanently changes the perception that everyone had of dave over the years, but expecting someone of his status and in his career to never do anything wrong is completely unrealistic. everyone makes large mistakes, but not everyone tells you about them. further judgement on where i stand will be made as dave makes any other statements.
          
          as for the future of ‘IRIS’, i will be taking time off of writing for at least three months to focus on finishing other stories. i hope you all understand
