          Yes, it's based on a real musician and a real band. It's a love story between two people who want to be be together but can't. but he loves her to distraction and won't let her go.   It's loosely based on Rick Danko's life and some of my experience with musician's that I've known. People who read it seem to like it a lot, (for the most part).  Whether or not you like it is up to you.
