Hi there! I'm JD Stephens, a novelist from Brisbane, Australia.

I'm a full-time consultant, a full-time dad & husband, and a full-time storyteller - the time I can devote to each is directly proportional to the amount of caffeine in my system.

Stories of all shapes and sizes (but mostly character-driven young adult) swirl around in my head, vying for my attention. I love taking the time to surrender into one of these scenes and drift along with the flow of putting to paper the fleeting little world I've created in my mind.

I find the quality of my writing improves immeasurably when I'm listening (at ear-bleeding volume) to Tool, Gang of Youths, Modern Baseball, and Zack Hemsey. If not, then at least my mid-writing air-drumming entertains the patrons at my local café.

Novels are my main focus (I have two bubbling along right now) but I also find playing around with micro fiction is a fun way to practice my writing skills.

I hope you enjoy my work!
