I’m literally so excited for Lyra to meet Éowyn in WotW guys like does she know a bestie is coming for her?? And I know the narrative structure begs itself to include portions of the last timeline but it’s also my story and I do what I want so yeah I’m just happy I have the fire in me to keep going
Oh no… it’s happening.
Now that I’ve finished the Fellowship Arc of ‘Winter,’ I’m starting to get burnout. I’ve had such good momentum with putting out chapters of this story and it’s so healing and fun for me, but something about writing the last few has taken a lot out of me. I’m going to finish it, don’t worry, but I’m taking a week break from it and hopefully next week I’ll feel more rejuvenated and ready to continue Lyra’s story in The Two Towers!
A bit of news…. JUST as a precaution, Winter’s On The Wing is now available on ao3!! So far only the first part of the Hobbit arc (an unexpected journey) is up, but soon enough it’ll be there in its entirety! It’s kinda excited bc as a longtime reader on ao3 I never expected to publish, but why not!! Maybe I’ll even put the Sherlock series on it eventually….
Currently doing a stroll down memory lane, and rereading my Sherlock series from the start and………. DAMN. Grammar issues aside, teenage me really made aspen hella unlikable. It isn’t until book 3 that we see not only some proper grammar and shit but she actually evolves as a character. Perhaps a serious revision or editing of the first two books is in the near future.
man if you were to ask me, lyranduil is the main ship of winter’s on the wing, but thinking of lyromir for literally more than two seconds makes me sick like really in another life
Guys, writing really is healing me lately. Even so much so that I can’t listen to ‘maggots for brains’ by Olivia Rodrigo without thinking of my literal stories, like YES, I am a zombie until you get me in front of my fic and original story. Writing has always been there for me and what can I do but think of it??
quick update! I am currently on vacation in Thailand for the week, so today’s chapter of Winter’s On The Wing will be the only one until probably next Sunday! No new chapter on Wednesday. There will still be an update to Long Live on Friday, however. Thanks! ☺️
AH EM GEEEE YALL I changed the cover for Winter’s on the Wing now that we’re in the LOTR arc, it’s actually so important to me and the old cover will always have a special place in my heart but this new one just has so much more going on as Lyra’s story expands and she meets new characters and the story gets even bigger!!
ahhhhh I MISSED writing in the Lord of The Rings universe!! (Specifically those books/movies)- brings me back to my first ever story “The New Girl”, something something night changes idk anyways new chapter of Winter’s on the Wing out!!
