@jennasuits91 I’ve found a few publishers in Australia who accept unsolicited submissions. Penguin Random House (Australian division) is one of them.

@Romizabooks haha once upon a time in an earlier draft I had a 9400 word chapter. I’ve gotten it down to 5200. JK Rowling has a chapter that’s over 9k words.

@Romizabooks I decided to pull my story off the site. I'm about 2/3rds of the way done with my revision and have a really good feeling about this new version. I plan to start querying it in the next month or two. I don't want to risk first publication rights by substantially publishing my story online and ruining my shot at traditional publication, especially with all the work that's gone into this story over the years. My dream has always been to get it traditionally published. If you're interested in reading the new version as a beta reader, let me know. I just can't post it publicly when I'm planning to query.
