The princess nodded. "Let's get her changed into them."

Katayune suddenly realized they were in a lovely bedroom with yellow brick walls and furry animal skin rugs. Her eyes darted about, and she noticed the double doors to the bedroom were barred with a sword and a chair propped up underneath the handles. She wanted to ask where they were but when she tried to speak, no sound came out.

As was the custom in Akio concerning these kinds of ceremonies, she brushed her hair out and let it hang loose about her shoulders. Then, she took a black netted piece and attached it to her hair in such a manner that it hung down in front of her face, shielding most of it. Pulling on her black lace gloves, she exited her bedroom and traveled down the many halls and stairways until she reached the main hall. The servants had done an excellent job of cleaning up the chamber. She wouldn't have been able to guess there was a party last night, had she not been there herself.

Quote of the Month:

"The problem with writing a book in verse is, to be successful, it has to sound like you knocked it off on a rainy Friday afternoon. It has to sound easy. When you can do it, it helps tremendously because it's a thing that forces kids to read on. You have this unconsummated feeling if you stop."

Hello to all! I love reading and writing futuristic stories. My favorite series is the Hunger Games, and I also like The Divergent series. I like to write futuristic stories because I can create the world my characters live in and can make it as real or unreal as I'd like. I have a passion for justice and freedom, so those themes usually find their way into my stories. I also love to write about families because family is one of the most important things, that should be cherished by each individual. Finally, I am a born-again believer in Jesus. He saved my soul from hell when I was five years old, and I have walked with Him since, just like He's been faithful to walk with me through every season.
