I just finished reading It Ends Withs Us by Colleen Hoover. *spoilers ahead*
I fell head over heels for Ryle, he was absolutely a divine character. He was intelligent, kind, passionate, and caring, so falling in love with him was very easy. But after reading chapter 14 I didn’t see his character the same way anymore, I actually grew hatred for him and didn’t like seeing his name on the pages anymore. To know what Lily’s mom went through and to know that Lily herself said she didn’t want to live that, I cheered for her immediate response to Ryle after he hurt her.
Lily gave him a second chance but I didn’t. And after the second hurting I was going insane for Lily and then Atlas appeared and it felt amazing to realize his character was in the present now. I love Atlas and I wished he appeared sooner, but really loved the last words he ever said to Lily in this book. And my heart wishes for Lily to be in that place where her heart is open again for love.
As for the ending, it could not have been any more gosh darn good!!!! When I tell you I smiled tremendously big, oh boy my heart broke because Lily was so forgiving and was trying her best to convince herself that Ryle was not like her father. She was fighting her own thoughts and those few lines at the end of the book were everything and more.
Lily can live a happy life now with her daughter, because like she said it ended with her, it ended with them.
10/10, really recommended this book.
