hey everyone. sorry I’ve been M.I.A. for a while in terms of writing. I’ve been trying to focus my efforts on one story rather than spread myself thin with multiple stories.

In saying that, I’m temporarily unpublishing “Mark of Death”. Just because I’ve taken the story in a different direction (once again) and need time to figure out where I intend on taking the story.

I’m unsure whether I will continue “Truth or Dare”. Sorry for those who were waiting for updates. It’s unlikely you’ll get them in the near future :(

@Floras_Pearl thank you!! I can’t believe it’s real. I’ve got the ticket on my phone and email confirmation that I’m set to go, but reality hasn’t hit me yet.

@excellingfetus honestly, have no idea yet. I’m so nervous, but also so excited! Not only is it my first concert EVER, but it will also be my first time flying (I’m taking a plane to Melbourne, Australia - I live in Queensland, Australia), and my first time travelling out of state without my family (thankfully, I’m going with a friend). Honestly, I’m just focusing on the “saving money” part at this point and trying to focus on finishing uni (I have one assessment piece left before I’m free for the year). I’ll definitely update as time progresses, though. But yeah, it’s so surreal. I can hardly even believe it’s happening.

where've you been?

jeontaegy-

@excellingfetus yeah, I’ve been in such a slump that I forgot how enjoyable reading is (although I tried reading A Court of Thorns and Roses and that was like pulling teeth). And definitely agree with that: The Quarry has a lot of plot holes and definitely not on the same level as Until Dawn (I can never get tired of playing/watching play-throughs of Until Dawn—the material holds up, even 7 years later), but the game does have its charm. For example, love Dylan (a character has never made me laugh as much as he has), and Travis is such a complex character—super intriguing. Honestly, they are what carried the game for me. And damn, you’re making me blush. My graphic skills are—IMO—subpar compared to other people, including you and your abilities. But I appreciate the compliment ://D makes me feel a little better about myself.

@jeontaegy- don't be sorry! it's totally understandable okay? im happy that you're getting back to reading, it's a huge effort to get out of slump once you hit it. so i commend you for that! also until dawn is amazingly good! i love that game, like i would play it over and over again without being bored of it. congrats on finally buying it! i personally think the quarry is a tad bit boring, but thats me thinking that it doesn't match the until dawn level of good.

some days i enjoy my writing style—i’m even, dare i say, proud of it—but on other days, like today, i absolutely loathe it and want to scrap everything and start again from scratch. why am i like this? :/

@jeontaegy- it's ok to not be confident sometimes unnie, but you write well, you really do write good. It's just sometimes we ourselves aren't able to stand upto our own expectations, when you wanna do better than before but aren't confident enough in yourself, it happens with me too, no matter sometimes how hard I try, and how good I did, I'm not sure that it's ok enough.

@jeontaegy- grandparents are really the backbone of a society. I luv my grandmother's so much. And lost my grandfather( mom's side) back in 2019 and that was the first time i saw my mom cry and be completely shattered . My grandmother( fathers side) had her arm amputated , had a paralyses attack and she's still going strong. I luv her the most in this world honestly. I used to share every single detail about my day with her and i was her favourite grandchild. She's has been bed ridden since August of 2020. And talks only a little bit. Like shes unable to form proper sentences now but ik she's a boss lady and will get better soon. I pray for her fast recovery everyday with that i can totally understand your situation. Losing your loved ones is never easy especially when you're so close to them. I hope your nana's soul is at peace my condolences to you and your family. I hope God gives strength to you and your family as this time too shall pass

Said goodbye to my nana yesterday. Doctors believe she won’t make it through the night. Don’t know how to feel about it, honestly. This is the first time I’m going to lose someone in my extended family who I actually know and was a major part of my childhood. I have these moments where all I can do is cry and others where I’m so numb I can’t even begin to process that I won’t be able to see her anymore. It’s strange. Don’t know how I’m going to get through it honestly. 2022 just isn’t my year.

@jeontaegy- I know it is and we can't help that, it's ok, I know it's hard for you and explaining it more to me will make it harder, May god bless you and your family and give you all the strength to go through this. I'm happy if my words helped you even a bit. Take care of yourself and your family, I'm sure things will get better soon. She will always remain in your heart and her memories in your mind. She'll always keep blessing you all from above. Take care. Stay strong. God bless you.

@TheOceanPearls yeah, so it’s very emotional. Even talking about it is making my upset, so I’m going to stop for now, if that’s alright? Thank you for the kind words, though. They mean more to me than you’ll ever know.

@TheOceanPearls thank you. And I’m sorry for your loss as well. I’m trying to stay strong for my mum because she’s really struggling at the moment. But it’s hard. So far, I’m really tired—like emotionally exhausted—and trying to fill the white space with music, movies, YouTube, etc. to avoid being alone with my thoughts.

This whole situation sucks because my nana had all these plans; she was going to get a new laptop and write a book filled with stories from her childhood. Admittedly, she’s lasted quite a while. She was diagnosed with breast cancer years and years ago, and it went away for a while. But then she was misdiagnosed and it came back as bone cancer and now brain cancer. It’s scary how she’s deteriorated in a matter of days. I mean, she’s still fighting but it’s getting real bad. If she’s not gone tonight, it will be tomorrow or sometime soon.

I just don’t know how to cope. I’m trying to go back to my usual routine, writing my book and whatnot, but I feel so unmotivated and can hardly bring myself to do anything. Good thing I’m on break so I don’t need to worry about university—it would be hell trying to do assignments in the middle of all this. The worst part is she doesn’t even know she’s literally dying. She thinks she’s just sick and that the place they’re moving her to is the place they take patients before they recover. In reality, it’s the place they take people when they’re going to die.
