@TheOceanPearls thank you. And I’m sorry for your loss as well. I’m trying to stay strong for my mum because she’s really struggling at the moment. But it’s hard. So far, I’m really tired—like emotionally exhausted—and trying to fill the white space with music, movies, YouTube, etc. to avoid being alone with my thoughts.
This whole situation sucks because my nana had all these plans; she was going to get a new laptop and write a book filled with stories from her childhood. Admittedly, she’s lasted quite a while. She was diagnosed with breast cancer years and years ago, and it went away for a while. But then she was misdiagnosed and it came back as bone cancer and now brain cancer. It’s scary how she’s deteriorated in a matter of days. I mean, she’s still fighting but it’s getting real bad. If she’s not gone tonight, it will be tomorrow or sometime soon.
I just don’t know how to cope. I’m trying to go back to my usual routine, writing my book and whatnot, but I feel so unmotivated and can hardly bring myself to do anything. Good thing I’m on break so I don’t need to worry about university—it would be hell trying to do assignments in the middle of all this. The worst part is she doesn’t even know she’s literally dying. She thinks she’s just sick and that the place they’re moving her to is the place they take patients before they recover. In reality, it’s the place they take people when they’re going to die.
