Health-E Commerce began operations in 2010 with the stated objective of "simplifying the tax-free healthcare market in the United States and assisting everyday Americans and businesses in maximizing the benefits of workplace benefits, wellness, and health spending programs." In the same year, the company launched its FSA store to simplify the FSA market and make it easier for consumers to determine which products/services are covered by an FSA account. It was the first e-commerce site dedicated exclusively to FSA-eligible products and continues to maintain the most comprehensive eligibility list for the convenience of users.
