My comfort character is none other than Mr. Damon Delgado, but the one who completely broke me is Saroj.
Like, imagine being forcibly taken to another country at a young age just 'cause you're insanely beautiful. Then they start t0rturing you, r@ping you, tearing your skin apart, treating you like a breeding machine or a literal slave. They even force a baby into your womb, like surrogate. And when you finally escape from that nightmare, another monster catches you and starts torturing you again and the craziest part? You end up taking care of a kid that's not even yours. You give all your love to him and other kids, protect them, save them, while enduring so much pain and suffering yourself. Then, when your son finally saves you as an adult, you're already shattered and life doesn't stop messing with you, no. Destiny hands you the worst possible disease in your old age. You don't even get the chance to live your life with your son the one person who would've given you the love and protection you deserved. Like, if she had just recovered from that brutal illness, maybe she could've lived happily with him. But nope, God had other plans. He didn't show any mercy and took that away from her too. Saroj literally spent her entire life giving to others, sacrificing everything, and got nothing in return. It's heartbreaking that when it was finally her time to live, live with her son, with his love ..even that was taken away.
Yeah, that's Saroj... unfair, and unforgettable.
