Dear Jessie,
It's Diana again.
I just dropped by to let you know that I finished " Dreamers Like Us".
I read it with a fervour that I hadn't felt for any book in a long time.
First of all, Thank You for giving us this story.
I can't find the right words to tell you how much this story made an impact on me.
More than John, I loved Julie.
From a 19-year old tenager, she matured into a strong, determined, wonderful young lady. She's perfect for John.
I'm glad we got to follow her all through all those years of her life.
As for John... For some reason, the John I got to know in your story scored in my heart. I got to see his vulnerable side, the part of him that is craving for love like a little child yearns for affecion.
I'm in love with this John that you gave us to see. His characterization is top-notch, beautiful, sensitive. I feel so sorry for him.
Julie was more than his lover. She was his best friend, she was his mother too, in a sense.
I just wish John would have made it in the end. He deserved to be alive and happy with his Julie.
But the fact that John met with a similar fate in this story than the one he met in his real life adds to the realistic aspect of this story.
It makes me sad but it adds to the beauty of your story too.
What I loved about Julie is that she made John's relatives and friends (Julian, Cyn, Paul, George,Ringo, Aunt Mimi) part of her own world, after John's death.
Julian's relationship with Julie is particularly heart-touching.
See, I can on and on endlessly telling you endless things about the way your story made me feel and touched me deep down.
This is a story I'll remember for a long ime, Jessie.
Thank you so much.
