I have to be in love to stay whole. Even if I am in love with a dream, an aspiration, a goal -- hell, maybe even one of my own book characters -- I can guarantee you that I have been in love every moment of my life since I was 15 years old, and I will still be in love with someone or something when I take my last breath.

I'm not the kind of person that can be satisfied with my fantasies staying fantasies. So I write what I believe would be very difficult to accomplish, so even if it still did not happen, even if it still does not exist in reality, my mind is not the only place it exists.
