John Thompson spent twenty-five years as an investment banker in New York before becoming a full time novelist. Now he gets up every morning with a smile on his face (most days anyway), has a cup of coffee and starts trying to put words on the page.  
He is the author of ARMAGEDDON CONSPIRACY (finalist for Best Fiction by the Southern Independent Booksellers and IPPY Best Thriller of the Year), THE HONG KONG DECEPTION, and coauthor of SALEM VI: REBECCA'S RISING and CHAIN OF SOULS (Amazon #1). As J. E. Thompson he writes Middle Grade fiction, THE GIRL FROM FELONY BAY (Junior Library Guild Selection) is currently a Finalist for SIBA's 2014 Best Children's Book Award and a Finalist for Maryland's Black Eyed Susan Award. His sequel, DISAPPEARANCE AT HANGMAN'S BLUFF,  (Junior Library Guild Selection) will be released Sept. 2
He lives with his wife and daughter, his Boykin Spaniel, Lulu and his Jack Russell, Mr. Bean, and divides his time between Charleston, South Carolina and Blooming Grove, Pennsylvania.
