Better known as Dr.J to my students, I'm a Millennial in a Baby Boomer body. Having moved from being a street kid to earning a PhD in Neurobiology, I'm a scientist, educator, speaker, and author who is  forever curious, imaginative and resilient. Having written many scientific and technical papers, I'm ready to expose my life-long passion of creative writing with my first novel in the real-life, mystery/thriller fictional 'Thrivor Trilogy'. My favorite place to write is along the waterfront in the Beaches area of Toronto, Canada.
