In college I edited the school literary magazine and received a national award for fiction. I've since turned to poetry and haiku.

In writing there are few ironclad guides. If there were, every teacher would have taught them to her students. Beyond basics, like proofreading and grammar, concentrate on a consistent tone and always write with your genuine voice.
