Hi, just wanna drop by to speak out my thoughts on Bobby's announcement on his engagement n becoming a dad ㅜㅜ
To me, I've been in this K-pop industry since I was 13/14, and now that I'm in my mid-twenties, it feels really surreal to see idols I once admire and watch getting married and becoming dads. I still remember the shock I had when I saw Chen's news last year. I remember having mixed feelings, from being confused, in disbelief, to genuinely wishing him happiness of course.
It's just that after Bobby's announcement yesterday, it kinda made me REALLY think. That our idols are indeed humans like you and I, and maybe it's because of the age gap some of the K-pop fans have with the idols they admire, but from a mid-20s adult's POV, I really do understand. There's been multiple occasions I talked about hoping to get married and wondering how many children I want to have with my friends. I'm not saying that most people will be thinking like us, but... the idols are around my age or slightly older, so I really do understand why they're seeking for relationships and wanting to settle down.
Anyhow, what matters most is their happiness. I've always told my friends that I hope to see BTS with their kids on Return of the Superman or me bringing my kids to their fansigns haha
These are just my thoughts, and I wanted to rant it out on a safe place where no one would be judging me. So I chose here hahaha. Feel free to comment your thoughts too! It's nice to have an open discussion on the 'taboos' of the K-pop industry. :)
