Rest In Peace Jonghyun
You have fought long and hard all by yourself and now it’s time for you to rest. This world has lost a brilliant light amongst the dark. Jonghyun you have shaped a generation and paved a way for all your juniors… you are gone now and the world is poorer for it.
My deepest and most sincere condolences to the family of Jonghyun, his members, and fellow SHAWOLs all around the world. He was an amazing son, brother, power vocal member, and idol who will be dearly missed and remembered by many.
As we come together in this time of mourning I urge you to seek comfort in one another and to know that you don’t have to go through this alone. Your feelings are valid and your hurt is not misplaced.
In these dim times I hope that we are able to see and remember the light that Jonghyun has brought us along with his members. He was a source of happiness for us all and I am sorry that we weren’t there to protect him. We were selfish with his love… but he always gave it freely.
There will never be another star that shines as bright as he had.
For all of those who have been lucky enough to have been a part of his life and a part of his journey I thank you for being as much of a friend as you could have been to him. I know there are many who loved him deeply and truly and I want you to know it is not your fault… you couldn’t have known this was going to happen…
Depression is not something to be brushed aside and ridiculed, it is real and it is a dark place to be. Signs of depression are not always easy to spot but if you take the time to educate yourself you may be able to help a fellow family member, friend, mutual, idol… and maybe even yourself.
There is a light at the end of that dark tunnel. It may be dark now and you may feel alone, but know that you don’t have to face it all by yourself.
Jonghyun you will be dearly missed.
