i recently noticed that mentions of sexuality in a story on wattpad should be marked as mature. we all know there are straight people in the world, and we all know there are gay and pan and bi people in the world. why do we have to warn our readers about that? why shouldn't people (young kids included) be exposed to that? it is not wrong to love the same gender, it is not gross, weird, or illegal. so why are we pretending it is? maybe i took this all the wrong way, but i was a bit disgusted by it and i felt the need to share my feelings. if any of my stories are marked mature it is for other reasons and not the fact that i write about freaking gay relationships. unblock pride.
