Hi! I'm Joel, and welcome to  my Wattpad page. 

I've been writing since I was 16 and have a couple of books written now, twenty-five years later. The current book I'm working on and posting here, We All Fall Down, is the one I'm most excited about. I just feel like its coming together really well, and I like the characters a lot. 

We All Fall Down is a little autobiographical in that the main character is about my age, he has 4 kids, I have 4 kids, and the whole story takes place in Boulder, Colorado, where I live. And, Rachael, the other main character in the book, is shamelessly based on my oldest daughter who is a pretty amazing person, if I do say so myself. And the two dogs in the story are based on my dogs, Timber and Jayne. Timber is a black lab and his real name is Charred Timber, which makes a lot more sense for a black lab, and Jayne is named after Jayne Cobb from Firefly, and he couldn't be more appropriately named (if you don't know who Jayne Cobb is and you consider yourself even the remotest sci-fi fan, stop what you're doing and go watch the Firefly tv series - its simply the best sci-fi show ever produced). 

I welcome feedback on my work; I truly appreciate anyone who takes the time to even bother so you can bet I'll consider it long and hard. And if you'd like me to check out your work, I'm happy to do so.
