          January and February have been slower writing months for me after a prolific number of chapters in late December, but never fear - I have a vision for where this story is going, and we're getting near the final act. I'd estimate maybe 10 more chapters. Can't wait to share with you all! 
          
          I'd say this story has been a bit of a slow burn with mostly whispered words, emotional connections, and longing glances so far... but for those of you that have been waiting for a bit more romance, we're almost there, too.

          Quick update on "Desire Awakened: A Succubus Story" ... 
          
          So I have written Chapters 18 and 19 and have the rest of Book 1 outlined in detail. I know where I plan to end it and am DEFINITELY going to be doing a Book 2 in this series. I think the next one will be called  "Desire Unbound: A Succubus Story." :) 
          
          I haven't published Ch 18 and 19 for a couple of reasons... the main reason is that while I was writing them, I decided to change a couple of important details about how various "bonds" work in this fictional universe and I need to edit a few spots in Ch 16 and 17 to reflect those changes and have consistency in the story. I don't want to make any edits, even minor ones, to the seventeen chapters already posted since I entered them into Wattpad's writing challenges and they could be disqualified if I start changing things now after the deadline. So... a bit of a dilemma on whether to post the new chapters, knowing it's a little inconsistent, or waiting until I can make the edits before posting the new content. Maybe I'll put a little author's note on Chapter 18 explaining the changes so that there's no confusion. I think I should hear back about whether my entry was reviewed/accepted in 2-3 weeks, so then I can go back and make changes to the existing chapters. 
          
          ANYWAY... just want to say I super appreciate you guys. I'm completely new to writing fiction, and I have a lot to learn. But I'm having so much FUN and am feeling inspired to continue.

In the last two weeks, I've posted the first 17 chapters of "Desire Awakened: A Succubus Story" and I think about 35k words. I submitted my work to both the Wattpad 8-Chapter Challenge and the Wattpad 30-Day Challenge earlier today!!! 
          
          I wanted to take a moment to thank all of my early readers. I really appreciate you guys who have been here at the beginning encouraging me. 
          
          I am taking the next few days off posting any new chapters, but will be responding to comments and hopefully reading some of your stories, too! I will be posting another chapter probably around Jan 3 or 4. I have a rough outline for the remaining chapters in this first story, and I want to make it the first in a trilogy of Succubus stories. 
          
          Hoping to also write some other romance stories in the near future! I've got a few ideas I'm excited to work on, so stay tuned in 2025.
