Adobong Manok Recipe
Ingredients: 1 kilo dressed chicken (cut in chunks)
1 tablespoon salt
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup white vinegar
1 cup water
5 cloves garlic (chopped)
1 tablespoon blackpepper (peppercorn)
1 piece bay leaf (laurel)
1/4 cup cooking oil
1 teaspoon sugar
Cooking Procedure: Rub chicken meat with salt. In a pan, heat up oil and fry chicken to about golden brown. On same pan, remove the oil and put back the chicken and. Add soy sauce, vinegar, water, garlic and black pepper. Put into boiling. Cover the pan, reduce heat and simmer until the liquid almost half. Add sugar and stir. (Sugar neutralize the strong flavor of vinegar and soy sauce) Serve hot.
