She was succeded by Elizabeth I. And in 1554 she married Prince Phillip II of Spain therefore making her queen consort of Habsburg Spain in 1556. She had a ton of non- Catholics burned at the stake earning her the title of 'Bloody Mary'. She had tried many times to get pregnant since her younger half sister and successor to the throne was Protestant, she knew all her efforts to make England Catholic would go to waste.
