ok so like what if 
          
          There was no blood, no sane explanation on how the man could’ve passed.
          His face was frozen, contorted into what could only be described as agony: eyes wide, mouth open, jaw askew. Black liquid dripped from his mouth and onto the bed of grass beneath him. His once warm brown skin had turned ashen, as if someone had dipped him in candle wax and hung him out to dry. 
          What was even more curious was not the blackness of his veins or the way he had almost completely moulded into the forest floor in the past minute, but the little girl who knelt by his side with grass-stained knees and a dress so obnoxiously orange it made the green surrounding her seem almost monochrome. 
          Her dark braid had strands tumbling out from under the weaves, and an orange hair tie was clinging on for dear life at the end. She sat frozen, in a daze. Glossy eyes seemed to stare through nothing.
          Creatures of all kinds emerged from the foliage, through the fog and into the clearing. Three-eyed deer, winged rabbits, owls, foxes, animals big and small. They watched, eyes wide, as she collapsed. And they scattered, hooves, paws and wings pounding on the earth and through the air as a gut-wrenching scream tore its way through her body??
