I use writing as my way of speaking to my future self. I can ask questions and receive answers and experience and entire transition from one mind state to another by the end of a piece I write. Sometimes reading my own poetry, I feel as new as the one I may be reading it to. Sometimes what I write doesn't even click to me for a long time before it actually hits me what I even said.
