Due to concentrating on my novel for the past year or so, I have had little time to write and post other stories.  But I will post a science fiction short story on September 26! The date assumes that, between now and then, nothing personal significantly interferes with my writing time.
          	
          	"The Music of the Spheres" is such soft science fiction; it squishes.
          	
          	Soon after Aubrey moves in with her extraterrestrial roommate, Shirx, Aubrey notices that in her apartment, sometimes her music sounds wonky—a huge problem for a musician. Aubrey and Shirx think it is because of him. How will Aubrey get her music back?
          	
          	Working on "The Music of the Spheres" feels refreshing because I have missed writing shorter stories. One of my goals is to write novels and shorter works regularly.

Thanks for helping with feedback on the chapters of The Rise of the Bane - I will definitely look at making some changes to help enhance the clarity in the next iteration of the book.

@ardneh999 No problem! I was going to go through the rest. If you want me to, I can. I just ran out of time today and was discombobulated earlier in the week.
