little rant i'm gonna go on. might be a hot take, but whatever.
i find it very uncomfortable when people call male characters "she". the biggest example would be starscream. the amount of people calling him a "her" or girl on twitter is astounding. maybe it's because i'm a trans guy and would hate hundreds of people calling me she online, but is it not weird? i once asked someone about it, and they said it was because of headcanons. but how is that a hc? like, i never see people calling women characters "him", so why are we calling male characters "her"? i always get a little annoyed when i see people doing it, and i do hope it dies out. not trying to spread hate or attack anyone, but really? i feel like this is only because he, along with many others in the transformers universe, has a curvy body half the time, but i don't know. usually headcanons are based off of the pre-existing canon, not made up out of thin air. what in any continuity gives you the idea that he's a "she"? he's been a guy in all of them (minus the fan-made genderswaped ones that switches everyones gender). idk if i'm just being weird about this, but i don't know find it very odd and uncomfortable. just thought i'd share my opinion.
