Hi everyone, sorry for taking so long, but the new chapter has been uploaded. I know I said I'd update the story more frequently this year, but there has been a lot going on during the first half of the year, and I was busy with studying and uni stuff. Thanks for supporting the story and waiting this long  It's summer break now and I'll write as much as I can!

@justarcane don’t worry, I for one am not going anywhere. Checkmate has become my favorite Leona fic, I was literally ranting about the plot and how much I love it to a friend the other day

@justarcane Don’t worry about it we all have stuff going on in our lives. Thank you for updating when you can. I’ve been loving reading Checkmate it’s quickly become a favourite book of mine to read, it’s also one of the best Leona fanfics I’ve come across in a while!

@Kaydenjade17 I second this — I’ve been checking every couple days (and that’s been an improvement). I don’t want to pressure to much or anything, but Checkmate is genuinely the best Leona fic I’ve found — I think about it all the time
