I know we've all heard about the incredibly disappointing events that occurred involving Kenneth because a lot of you are bringing it up. It's something very upsetting to me and to all of us in this fandom. I find it incredibly admirable that Brendon took a stand and did something about it instead of trying to cover it up, the way other bands that have had the same things happen have done. I truly hope that the girls that were targeted by Kenneth are doing okay and that they find peace within themselves because to be targeted in that way is a uniquely disturbing experience.
I know that my updates have been delayed but at this point I believe that I need to go on a bit of a hiatus involving these books. Kenneth was an important character in the story and now I'm truly horrified that he's in it at all. I'll be taking time to consider what to do in regards to the plot, editing Kenneth out of these chapters, and finding a way to still write the story as I originally imagined it.
To those of you who were triggered by the news of Kenneth's misconduct, I am truly sorry. I hope everyone is okay. Here are a few resources that can help anyone that has been involved in any type of sexual misconduct that I've personally found to be quite wonderful:
