My church is doing an event where we fast for 21 days!!! So I won't be online much, I think the only activity on here will be pre-scheduled Febuwhump chapters being released starting February 1st. I'm actually posting this pretty late but it's been bothering me for a few months now
hey is it a toxic friendship if they constantly mentally and emotionally gaslight you into doing what they want, make jokes about you being a "bad friend" if you're not into their interests, eventually open up to you telling you that they want to 'end it,' tell you "Bye...", make you believe that they might actually end it, which causes you to send a whole 3 minute voice recording (and disclaimer, I almost NEVER send voice recordings) of you breaking down crying and BEGGING them not to do it, AND THEY THEN END UP TELLING YOU THAT THEY'RE NOT ACTUALLY FUCKING SU!C1DAL, AND JUST WANTED TO SEE YOUR REACTION??????? They have some issues that I will not be specific about, but THIS IS NOT OKAY. And as someone who's nearly attempted once (no one irl knows), I'm INCREDIBLY sensitive to this shit. Even the smallest "kms lmao" joke on someone's board causes me to tense up.
@-_Wand4r3r_- I've tried confronting them lightly, but the thing is that they just say that I "assumed" things...also if I told them that I don't want to be friends anymore, that is NOT gonna end well bc I basically have to see them every other Friday (because there's this thing that we both go to; and not just us, but more of my close friends go there too.)
Yeah- if they keep doing that, it’s best to just say “hey so, I’m uncomfortable with what you’re saying and then saying you’re not gonna do it, I’m sorry but, for my mental health I think it’s best not to be friends anymore.”
I’m bad at advice but I think it’ll be best if you say something like i explained- that’s what I did once
