@kaleiOmalley Sorry I'm only just now answering, I was overseas on vacation (funny enough, I was in Ireland - which I just realized is where you are after rereading your profile) I just want to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU :) I needed a good, firm opinion and I got it. The things you critiqued are exactly the things I wince about when I reread my own stuff, so I know I need to work on that. I'm psyched you like my characters, since I'm proud of them for once ;)
As for the begging for comments thing - I hate that I do that, but it's fustrating when a story I work really hard on doesn't get attention, but the crappy crowd-pleaser I wrote as a 13 year old got on the What's Hot list...aggravating damn it lol. But yes, I'll tone that down ;)
Once again, thanks so much, and I'll be certain to message you when I update a chapter or two for critiquing.
However, maybe the reason that you don't like Historical Fiction so much is because you're reading the wrong, boring stories. I suggest 'Sweet Love of Mine' by Ashful...it's easy to read once you get into the flow, and she's amazing with witty, funny, flirty dialogue. Just a suggestion :D
Once again, thanks a billion! And I apologize for taking up so much room on your profile!
