It...is...finished! I can't believe it. I rarely finish a story, so my biggest lesson from the #ONC2020 has been how tough it is to say goodbye to characters.

TwistedNym

@karvore And well, if there is still more to say..I guess, what are sequels or shorts for ? :)

Anyone else enjoy writing the end of a story as much or more than the beginning or middle?

karvore

@TwistedNym Yeah, creating worlds is a lot of fun. I enjoy short stories a lot because you get to jump in and out of the world and only focus on the most exciting part. I become the most self-conscious just before I hit publish. I'm proud of you for pushing through!

@karvore
            I suppose when you really want them to succeed and finish, you got a goal set. I just like making stuff up and creating worlds, tbh, and the thought of either having to part with the characters or delivering an ending that is not satisfying scares me a bit. But I have anxiety attacks publishing anyway, so that's normal lol.

@TwistedNym Ahha. Really? I enjoy writing the beginning, but the end of the story is what really makes me write. Like, I have this awesome place I want to take people but I have to get there first. And that's so frustrating. Both of the main stories I'm working on I already have the end and right now I'm just making the stairs to get there. But I want to be there already!

I'm gonna finish Lucas' story this summer. It's gone untold for too long.

TwistedNym

@karvore I'm bad and lazy at advertising too so don't worry. Alsofandom is actually mostly interested in stories involving main characters and I write OC's somehow so not that much traffic either haha. Just keep your own pace and get your writing done to your own satisfaction. That's what matters most, really, because what's a half baked story you hate worth.

@TwistedNym That means a lot to me. You know, if I were smart, I would probably do more to promote Lucas' story in the chats or like you said, when Lucas is mentioned in other Red Queen stories. I really appreciate you sending readers to my remote corner of the site. ha.

@ karvore Don't worry I know how it it sometimes things either end on the back burner due to lack of time or block and sometimes the draft changes so much it needs a whole new turn. I'm sure you'll do great ♥ I sometimes recommend your story because people leave a sad comment at a pure mention of Lucas and I'll never write about him but you do and you're doing so well :) Take all the time you need, I'm around.

Hey, mind taking a quick peek at my books? I only aim to get my work out there and to hopefully inspire others through my words. Thanks for your time. ✌

@karvore Thanks for taking the time to read my work.

@KDCampbell Indeed. The snow, sadly, has left me but right now I'm loving this overcast weather and rain. I enjoyed reading your poem in the intro, and was only able to read the first couple of sentences in chapter one before work, but I look forward to reading the rest of your story.
