we gotta STOP the excuses for using a name on the reader, there's not even a *neccesary* need to write y/n / [name] / (y/n) or any variation of the sort in your fic, a writer doesn't like the usage of y/n? THEY SIMPLY DON'T NAME THEM i can think of a bajillion ways to skip the reader ever stating their name—you dislike it either way? okay! that's okay!!
but don't name the reader!! just accept what your fic is—and it's NOT an x reader

you can't slap x reader in a fanfic and give the "reader" a name and get mad when ppl call you on it
