I just realized that fat-shaming is everywhere and not just outside your home. It starts at your home and the elder folks hardly realize the damage they are doing on the youth. However, I am just surprised at how people are overly critical for over-weight or obese people. This really needs an explanation as to why people still cuss fat people and consider thin body types as the ultimate for the beauty. I don't get it. I get it, as a person, I need to be healthy and fit as well as energetic so that I could enjoy a quality life. But I hope people are kinder to such kind of people who are still struggling with their obesity. Guys, you have no idea what they are going through, stop fat-shaming them. Stop being judgmental. They are fighting their own battle. Fitness should be a priority and not fitting your body as per the society's high standards. Be Kind, Be Compassionate. Stop making vile comments on other's. #stopbodyshaming

So true! My post was just not about fat-shaming but I wanted to address this issue of body shaming. I can't get why people have so much of ridiculously high standards defining a beauty. And if you don't fit into their standards, you are ignored and bullied. Somehow, this needs to change. I see lot of videos and articles on "Love your own body" but still I see so many people are insulted and cussed on their physical appearances. The only reason I am reaching to the maximum people on Wattpad is that they realize how difficult it is for a person to go through such vile comments. And as a Wattpad member we should do something about it. Write inspiring articles, write poems against the body-shaming. We need to break this stereotype.

@kassandra_adm It's awful people get fat-shamed but just so you know people don't always prefer thin people. In fact, thin people get shammed too. I'm naturally skinny and can't gain weight easily and have been body shamed, by quite a lot of people actually. I've been called anorexic, bulimic said that I'm too thin and need to eat more and that I need more meat on my bones. I've even been called size zero, basically been just told me that I'm too thin when it's not something I can fix. It's happened to my mum too when she was young people told her that if she stood near a grate she'd fall down it. So yeah, people get both fat shamed and skinny shamed and it needs to stop because people need to realise that some people can't help being overweight just like some people can't help being skinny.
