Hey, lovely writers! Quick question: Do you have everything planned out when you start writing your stories? Do you know how your stories will end? Or maybe you develop your plan and come up with new ideas as you write?

So good you that you're going writing classes. Well I usually have the start first, stuff I want to include and a possible end. Then I add in details in revisions of it throughout the story, for me it usually either changes the ending or makes it more impactful. My stories tend to have alot also. I never really write a complete synopsis, just drafts of the main things I want to include. The little things happen while writing and contributes to the big stuff. Idk if that helps

@kat-on-the-way indeed, you are right. There are cases as sometimes you do not know how the ending would be. It is good your attending writing class. In my case, I don't just self learning and research reading.

@ElizaJayBird1 @Kim_Diok Thanks for sharing your experiences. I attended a writing course where students were able to write a complete synopsis. They knew exactly what, when, and where everything would happen from beginning to end. I tried to do the same, but in my case, it didn't make sense because my stories and characters go through so many iterations during the writing process that everything ends up looking different from what I planned at the beginning. Like you, I have the beginning, climax, and ending roughly in my head. I'm glad to hear that it's not just me.
