Okay okay okay, I just came up with a writing prompt and I have to share.
So, do you remember in the manga when Tenko was telling his mom about playing two random kids who were being left out?
Okay so imagine this:
Shoto is taken to the park so he can play with kids his age because she's noticed lately that he's been a bit distant; both mentally and socially. Like all naive mothers, Rei believes this is due to her son's lack of social interaction and not...you know, f**king abuse.
Anyways, they go to the park and a bunch of kids from Shoto's class are there. However, when Shoto attempts to join their game--Rei asked him to do it, he didn't really want to--they tell him to go away. Their judgement is based on their fear of Shoto, since he's seen as a creepy person who doesn't speak and acts strangely.
Just slightly hurt by the name calling, Shoto goes over to the sand box and begins drawing pictures with a thin twig. This goes on for awhile but just as Rei is about to call Shoto over to go home, a boy a little older than Shoto goes up to him. The newcomer introduces himself as Tenko and asks if Shoto wants to play with him and those two other boys who had been left out. Knowing this would make his mother happy, Shoto agrees but actually ends up having fun. Him and Tenko flow off each other (I know there is some other way to have worded that) and seem to be becoming great friends.
I also imagine the other two kids going home and leaving Shoto and Tenko by themselves and instead of playing they go to a more isolated area of the park and start talking about what they'd like to be when growing up, which reveals their family lives; abuse and all, kids hold absolutely nothing back.
However, like most of those amazing playground friendships, it comes to an end when Rei has to take Shoto back due to Enji getting off work.
Now, I could write this--let's be honest, I most likely will--but I'd really love to read someone else's version of this.
