Here's Another TB&TA S4 teaser.
Anissa and Zeina look at the screens with a pang of guilt. Anissa sees an image of Samuel's mugshot, his eyes full of no life or joy, just wrath. The screen then flickers to an image of a family car crushed by rubble. The child is crying asides the car as police safely take her away.
Anissa: This… this is what our culture does to others. What… our blind loyalty does. What have we done? What have I done?
Zeina: Was following Thragg for so long even worth it? Should I have walked away the moment I saw how ruthless our people are?
Nolan: I've asked myself that question every day since I left Earth. My actions were unforgivable until I saw through the lies. This "Samuel Alexander" is a fanatic. He uses loyalty as a shield for atrocity.
Anissa: Is it… is it so different from what our people have done? What I've done? We followed a mandate, a belief in our superiority. We killed without a second thought because we thought we were justified. Ganthet… helpless citizens…
Nolan steps closer. His expression earnest, not accusatory.
Nolan: Yes, it is different. He claims to fight for humanity, but his actions speak otherwise. His loyalty is built on fear, not shared belief. But you are right to see the reflection.
Anissa sighs, running a hand through her hair.
Anissa: It felt clean then. Necessary. Now, seeing the blood in the streets, humans being pushed to the edge in such a way… I don't feel superior. I feel… sick.
Nolan: The empire taught us not to feel it, but we are away from them. From Thragg.
Anissa: How do you bear it? The guilt of what you did on Earth, of the lives you ended?
Nolan: You don't. You can't. You live with the consequences. You use that pain to fuel your protection of those who are left. You've chosen a new path. The right path.
Anissa goes silent for a moment.
Anissa: My loyalty… had a price tag of millions of lives. Never again will I wet my hands with the blood of the innocent.
Zeina: Neither will I.
