Hey thanks! One thing I tell myself is to remember that this is a genre I enjoy reading, so I'm a good judge of whether something is worth reading, including my own work... if I like writing it, and I like imagining the scene over and over and even re-immersing myself on a re-read, then chances are other people will also get something out of reading it... and if they don't like it, then fck them lol, nobody's paying u; it only matters if u have a good time and got what u wanted out of it. You're not going to write a fanfic that pleases everybody--likewise, nobody's going to write a fanfic that's exactly what you're looking for, that's why u gotta write your own, haha. At least, that's why I do it. I also think the more u write, the more u develop ur style, learn to make more specific and nuanced choices, and feel more in control of the reigns, so the best thing to do is just do it... a lot of advice people give on how to produce "good" writing is bullsh*t and overly constraining imo, so I try not to get hung up on it and trust my own instincts. I don't take anything as an immovable, unnegotiable rule w writing. Jeez I'm writing a lot here... thanks again!!
