My day job is editing, and I love that, but my big interests in writing are dark fantasy fiction, scifi, dystopias, and mysteries.  Two of my favorite books are The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova and The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood.  I also love The Hunger Games, Hollowland by Amanda Hocking, Daughter of Smoke and Bone, and The Reapers Are the Angels, to name just a very few.

I'm really excited about the independent writers movement, including blogs and novels.  I think this is the most fun, and a great way to empower ourselves as writers!
