Hello, ya'all (no, it might not be standard, but I'll bastardize slang any way I want to.)

And that's pretty much me.  

I have a degree in English and a minor in Comparative Religion and work a soul-sucking job at a bank to take care of my two teenage boys, my husband (who pushed me onto this site - so blame him) and an old, blind, deaf and neurotic dog.  I write as a release from real life.  A way of not banging my head on my desk at the mind-numbing and corporate bureaucracy that I face daily.  

Trust me - by the time you are 30, you will understand.  Dilbert is one of my heroes.

I cannot take read requests.  I apologize for that, but I can barely manage to juggle my own life and works.

And - trust me - you wouldn't like what I have to say if I did read your work.  My mother called me "painfully-honest" when I was 11.  I try, but it really hasn't gotten much better since then.

And I don't follow back.  If you choose to follow me, I assume that it's because you like and enjoy what I do.  I don't ask you to do so and I'm waaaaay beyond high school and popularity contests.  I am old enough to be your mother (or, if you do the math) your very-young grandmother.  

I've had some success on WP as an underground author, but hold out no hope of making the What's Hot or Featured lists.  I've pretty-much been shut out of that - politely, mind you.

Because I write outside of the box.  Outside of the 1D, Twilight, 50-Shades BS (sorry, Mom - stuff).

But I do write original, thoughtful,humor-laced and thought-provoking works.  Not perfectly, but I do try.  I believe in strong women, equally-as-strong men and an eventual happily-ever-after.  Maybe not what you thought it would be at the start, but I promise you the characters in my head figure it out eventually.
