Imagine a balloon. Inside of that balloon are mice who are high on sugar. They're running around and jumping and the balloon is jumping with them, going everywhere.
The balloon is on water. A beautiful lake that's surrounded by a forest. But there's a small beach. And on that beach sits an almost demon looking fella that is actually quite sophisticated. And every day he takes notes on how the mouse-balloon works. Even though there's no true point to it, he still does it.
But sometimes, there's a grey mass that takes the demon's notebook and pen. This results in the demon going crazy and destroying life around it. After a few minutes or hours or days the grey mass comes back and gives the notebook and pen back. Nothing has changed yet it still feels a bit different.
Then the demon goes back to writing, and slowly but surely the nature and life around him grows back.
