To celebrate my freedom, I put up a little something for the Low Fantasy contest. It's a study in reverse engineering other peoples' thoughts, this time, to inform my villains.

I'm not quite ready to commit to regular posting, but I'm grateful to be engaging meaningfully at all.

So, I kind of did drop off the face of the earth since @WritersConnx. It started with tearing my internet laptop apart, to clean out the dust and old heat paste to get it ready for Discord. That kicked off yet another yak shaving multi-day marathon, and I'm not done. More parts come tomorrow.

The good news is that the flash RAM I installed in my writing laptop is smoothing out a ton of wait spinner related friction in my process. The bad/good news is that I've started about three new stories since then.

As for the project that counts, 7LAP, I could find about three completed but not done (ready for the self-editing checklists I use) chapters in it at this point. Some are out of order, since I worked out ahead on one group of characters. Another is waiting for me to fill in setup details, as I find the payoffs later in the episode.

For this project, at least, I'm finding it helpful to think in terms of 2-3 chapter episodes. My plan was to have each of those 11 episodes be about 4.5-4.6k words. I don't know if that's reasonable for what I have outlined. Either way, as soon as I manage to get anything truly done, there will be a lot of it. I should be able to start a normal once a week with buffer posting pattern then.

Whether you celebrate or not, or get it off work or not, I hope your day is drama free. Except for your writing, of course. Cheers.
